Description

A set of events to celebrate the 250th Anniversary of the Valencia college of lawyers, to take place throughout the year 2009.

The aim is to celebrate the 250th Anniversary with all the ICAV’s members (currently 9,000) and involve them in this commemoration through the holding of different events from the opening of the anniversary year to its close twelve months later.

The calendar of events includes a selection of:

- Fun activities: Summer Festival, Legal Film Series.
- Institutional events: 250th Anniversary opening event, homage to the Valencia royal academy of jurisprudence and legislation, homage to the water tribunal.
- Sporting activities: sports competitions: tennis, paddle ball, 5-a-side football and golf.
- Congress-type events: international congress on tax law, International Association of lawyers, law fair, course and intermediary meeting of the European lawyers’ federation.
- Cultural events: cultural tours of the city, literary competition (short story prize), concert by the ICAV choir at the Palau de la Música.

General Scale and Figures

Aimed at the 9,000 members of the ICAV and Spanish and foreign lawyers.
